Post-mortem DNA Testing
Starting at $999.00
Post-mortem DNA collection is the process of retrieving a DNA sample from a deceased individual, often to establish legal paternity or confirm biological relationships. At Local Biocheck, we work with families, funeral homes, and coroners to respectfully and promptly collect DNA specimens for accurate testing.
Suppose a sample from the deceased is not available. In that case, we can offer alternative options such as testing the biological mother of the deceased (the alleged grandmother) or other close family members to help establish paternity. Our compassionate team is here to support families during difficult times with reliable, court-admissible results.
We only use the gold standard, accredited laboratory to process the samples for your family.

A post-mortem DNA test is used to determine paternity when the alleged father is deceased. Local Biocheck coordinates with funeral homes, coroners, or medical examiners to collect a DNA sample from the deceased and compare it to a sample from the child. This test includes one alleged father and one child, and results are typically available within 3–5 business days. The test is processed through an accredited laboratory and can be used for legal purposes such as child support, inheritance, or social security claims.
